ABOUT PROJECT

In November 2014, China Electric Power Construction Group and Bangladesh Dhaka Water Supply and Drainage Board signed a sewage treatment project agreement named the Dasher Kandi Sewage Treatment Plant Project [__šÎÁîîÖÎìÁ_±ç_ÁÇÎ_‹Ê_ç__¬]. The project is located in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and construction includes sewage treatment plants, pumping stations and a sewage pipe network with a sewage treatment capacity of 500,000m3/day. After the project is completed, China will be responsible for operation and maintenance for one year. In January 2015, the Dhaka Wasa (Water Supply & Sewerage Authority) and Chinese company Hydropower signed an agreement to implement the project to be funded by Chinese Exim Bank. The project was previously scheduled to begin in January 2011 and end in December 2013, but the project could not be launched because funds were short. One source estimated the cost of the project to be 262.5 million USD. This project may have been preceded by #34019.
